A well-established Foreign Exchange House in Dubai is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join its compliance and risk management function.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in risk-based audits, AML/CFT compliance, and CBUAE regulatory frameworks. This role is suited for professionals who are methodical, compliance-focused, and comfortable working in a highly regulated financial environment.
You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, identifying operational risks, and ensuring regulatory adherence across business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Audit Execution: Conduct risk-based internal audits across operational, financial, and compliance areas.
- Regulatory Compliance: Review and assess compliance with AML/CFT regulations and Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) requirements.
- Operational Reviews: Evaluate internal processes, identify control gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment: Support enterprise risk assessments and contribute to audit planning activities.
- Reporting: Prepare clear audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and actionable recommendations.
- Follow-ups: Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of agreed action plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: 2–5 years of internal audit experience, preferably within financial services or exchange houses.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks and CBUAE compliance requirements.
- Audit Expertise: Proven experience in risk-based auditing and operational reviews.
- Certifications: CA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
