Dubai RTA Eid Al Fitr 2026 timings free parking announcement Dubai streets

Dubai — The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released special operating arrangements for Eid Al Fitr 2026 covering public parking, Metro, Tram, bus and marine services, Customer Happiness Centres and vehicle technical inspection centres. The measures apply for the Eid window from Thursday, 19 March to Saturday, 21 March, with normal operations and paid parking resuming on Sunday, 22 March, unless Ramadan completes 30 days and the holiday is extended.

Parking

All public on-street parking in the city will be free from the first to the third day of Eid. Multi-storey parking facilities remain chargeable and regular tariffs will resume from the fourth day of Eid.

Metro

The RTA said Red and Green Line Metro stations will operate on extended hours during the holiday period:

  • 18–21 March: 05:00 am–01:00 am (next day)
  • Sunday, 22 March: 08:00 am–01:00 am (next day).

Tram

Dubai Tram services will follow a similar extension:

  • Sunday, 22 March: 09:00 am – 01:00 am (next day).

Buses and marine transport

RTA advised passengers to consult the S’hail app or scan posted QR codes for the latest route timetables for Dubai Bus, Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry, abras and electric heritage abras. Route-level changes announced include: E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from the afternoon of 18 March until 22 March; E101 will run from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi; and E102 will operate from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Musaffah only from 19–22 March 2026.

Customer Happiness Centres

All Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during Eid except the following centres, which will continue to operate 24/7: Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre, and the Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf and the RTA Head Office.

Service provider centres

Vehicle technical inspection centres will be closed from 19–21 March. Services at the following centres will resume on Sunday, 22 March: Tasjeel Al Twar, AutoPro Al Mankhool, Tasjeel Al Awir, Tasjeel Discovery Gardens, Al Yalayis, Shamil Al Muhaisnah, Al Mutakamela Al Quoz, and Shamil Nad Al Hamar. The RTA noted that if Ramadan completes 30 days the holiday will be extended and schedules adjusted accordingly.
