The ministry also confirmed that the Grade 12 English examination will be conducted electronically as part of the approved assessment framework for the current academic year. Teachers supervising examination committees will not be permitted to read examination questions to students during centrally administered tests.
Final projects and coursework submissions scheduled before examinations
Ahead of the central examinations, schools will finalise Group B assessments, projects and coursework between June 15 and June 19. The submission period applies across all grades and academic streams covered by the ministry’s examination framework.
The ministry’s assessment model continues to combine central examinations with ongoing school-based evaluations, forming part of the broader student performance measurement system implemented across the academic year.
Grade 12 private school students to sit exams in public schools
The Ministry of Education has directed that Grade 12 students enrolled in private schools following the national curriculum will sit their final examinations at designated public schools. The arrangement will be implemented under the supervision of relevant educational authorities to ensure standardised examination procedures nationwide.
According to the approved schedule, students in Grades 5 to 11 will generally take examinations between 9am and 11am, while most Grade 12 examinations will be held between 12 noon and 2pm, subject to stream-specific schedules.
Ministry assessment reforms continue across UAE schools
The examination announcement follows a series of assessment reforms introduced by the Ministry of Education during the 2025-26 academic year. Earlier changes included the replacement of centralised second-semester examinations with continuous assessment mechanisms designed to reduce examination pressure and strengthen ongoing academic evaluation.
The ministry has also confirmed that students in Grades 3 and 4 will continue to be assessed through school-based summative assessments rather than centralised end-of-term examinations.
The 2025-26 academic year is scheduled to conclude following the completion of final examinations and assessment procedures in early July, ahead of the summer break for students across public and private schools implementing the UAE national curriculum.
