Armenia has introduced a temporary Armenia visa exemption for UAE residents holding qualifying residence permits, effective 1 January–1 July 2026. The measure removes the need to obtain a visa on arrival for nationals of 113 listed countries who present a valid residence permit.

Temporary Visa Exemption
Armenia’s official temporary visa-exemption document states the exemption applies from 1 January to 1 July 2026. Eligible travellers may stay up to 180 days within a one-year period, subject to normal border checks.
113 Countries Covered Under the UAE Residence Permit Rule

The exemption covers nationals of 113 countries who hold a valid residence permit issued by the United Arab Emirates or other qualifying states. The complete list of 113 countries is published by Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Entry Conditions and Border Verification Procedures

To use the exemption, travellers must present their residence permit at the Armenian border control. The permit may be a physical card or a passport sticker. Border authorities will check the document’s validity and that the required identity fields are legible in Latin script.
