DUBAI: Dubai Municipality has officially revised the distribution schedule for its free ice cream initiative across public parks ahead of the Eid Al Adha 2026 holiday. The complimentary treats will now be distributed exclusively on the first day of Eid, Wednesday, May 27, strictly between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
The updated timeline replaces an earlier municipal announcement, which had initially scheduled the festive giveaway to run from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm across the first two days of the Islamic holiday.

Revised Eid Al Adha Ice Cream Distribution Schedule
Dubai Public Parks confirmed the structural change via official communication channels on Tuesday, stating that the giveaway has been consolidated to a single two-hour window. The targeted operational shift aims to streamline the visitor experience during the anticipated evening footfall peak on the opening day of the festival.
Municipal authorities clarified that the public promotion will not extend into Thursday. The initiative forms part of the city’s broader public welfare programme designed to enhance outdoor recreational spaces during significant national and religious holidays.
Participating Dubai Public Parks and Access Protocols
The revised municipality programme covers six primary green spaces across the emirate. Residents and tourists visiting Creek Park, Mushrif National Park, and Zabeel Park will have access to the temporary distribution kiosks.
Additionally, Al Safa Park, Al Barsha Pond Park, and Al Nahda Pond Park will host the concurrent giveaway. Entry to the parks remains subject to standard municipal ticketing regulations, operated primarily through the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Nol card payment system.
Extended Operating Hours Across Major Leisure Facilities
To accommodate the expected surge in holidaymakers, municipal authorities have enacted an extension of operating hours across primary leisure destinations. Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Park, Al Safa Park, Creek Park, and the Quranic Park will remain accessible to the public from 8:00 am until midnight throughout the extended weekend.
The Dubai Frame will maintain a separate operational schedule, welcoming visitors from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. The comprehensive operational framework is designed to disperse crowd density while maintaining high standards of public health, security, and food safety.
Operational Exceptions at Specialised Park Zones
While main park perimeters will observe the midnight closure, specific internal attractions will operate under restricted timetables. The Cave and Glass House located within the Quranic Park will conclude operations at 8:30 pm daily.
Furthermore, access to the Mountain Bike Track at Mushrif National Park is strictly limited to a 5:30 am to 6:30 pm window, although the central Mushrif Hub will remain active until midnight. Eid Al Adha, translating to the Festival of Sacrifice, marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, with the UAE federal government granting a mandatory multi-day paid holiday for both public and private sectors.
