The ministry’s guidance asks firms to limit employee presence in open areas and to enable off-site work “where possible.” The advisory is a recommendation rather than a nationwide legal mandate; decisions to suspend or modify on-site operations remain with the competent local authorities in each emirate.
MOHRE said the remote-work advice excludes vital and essential roles that require physical attendance, allowing those employees to continue on site as necessary. Employers were told to keep up with updates from federal and local official channels.

Government briefings cited a recent barrage of missiles and drones intercepted over UAE airspace; authorities reported multiple intercepts and isolated injuries from falling debris. The ministry’s recommendation was issued as a precautionary safety measure in that context.
