The Museum marked its fourth anniversary and the near-5 million-visitor milestone on 22 February 2026. Officials said the figure reflects rising international demand for the Museum’s exhibitions, learning programmes and immersive experiences since the facility opened in 2022.

“The Museum of the Future, which embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, by bringing together leading minds from around the world to ask the right questions and develop practical solutions for the challenges of tomorrow. Since its launch four years ago, the Museum has evolved into a thriving knowledge-based ecosystem that turns ideas into programmes, dialogues and experiences that inspire, equip and serve as a laboratory for practical solutions to tomorrow’s challenges,” said Al Gergawi.

“The Museum of the Future bridges thought and experience, dialogue and application. It has become a global space that empowers people to understand rapid transformations and prepare for them. It reflects the UAE’s message that the future is not something to wait for, but something to design and build today through innovation and creative collaboration,” he added.

620 Events and 224 Programmes Delivered

Museum records show it has hosted 620 events, conferences and talks covering artificial intelligence, sustainable cities, education, health, the economy, work, technology and the arts. It has delivered 224 educational programmes, specialised workshops and interactive learning tracks for students, researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers. In 2025 alone, the Museum received nine Heads of State and 46 ministers on official visits.

The 77-metre Museum structure features 1,024 precision-manufactured panels across a 17,600 sq. m. façade inscribed with Arabic calligraphy quoting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The building generates more than 30 per cent of its energy needs from solar sources and uses advanced thermal insulation, high-efficiency cooling and LED lighting. The Museum received LEED Platinum certification for energy and environmental design in 2023.

Officials described the milestone not as an endpoint but as the start of a broader phase to expand the Museum’s global impact. The Museum’s genesis began at the World Governments Summit, followed by the project announcement on 3 March 2015 and the issuance of Law No. 19 of 2015 establishing the Museum. Since its global opening in 2022, the Museum has positioned itself as a rapidly growing institution within the global knowledge community.
