Fuel Rates Rise on Global Oil Trends
The committee’s monthly pricing mechanism ties domestic pump prices to international oil and refined product averages, plus local distribution costs. Recent upward pressure on crude prices and tighter refined-product margins prompted the March uplift, reversing a two-month downward trend.
The revised tariffs include applicable VAT and apply across all emirates from 1 March 2026. Retail outlets and motorists will see higher per-litre costs than in February; officials say the monthly review process ensures retail rates mirror global market shifts rather than fixed subsidies.
