About the Role
The organisation is seeking a business-oriented Legal & Compliance Officer to provide legal support, oversee compliance frameworks, and ensure adherence to UAE laws and regulations. The role involves close collaboration with management and business teams to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
This position is ideal for professionals with strong in-house or law firm experience who are comfortable handling both legal advisory and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and real estate-related contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with UAE laws and regulations, including real estate and commercial regulations.
- Support and implement internal compliance policies and procedures, such as Code of Conduct, AML, ABAC, COI, and Whistleblowing frameworks.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise management on potential business impact.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and external legal counsel.
- Assist in dispute management and coordinate litigation matters when required.
- Support corporate governance activities and maintain proper legal documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; LL.M. is an added advantage.
- 3–6 years of relevant UAE legal experience, either in-house or with a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in compliance support, contract management, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
